Terms of Service

Our terms and conditions

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BupaBooker website and service. BupaBooker is operated by a sole trader based in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, signing in (including with Google) or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use BupaBooker.

1. We are not Bupa

BupaBooker is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for Bupa, Bupa Medical Visa Services, the Department of Home Affairs or any government agency. We do not decide visa outcomes, health examination results or appointment availability. You can always book directly with Bupa Medical Visa Services yourself.

2. What the service does

BupaBooker is an appointment availability alert service. You create a "watch" by telling us your postcode and state, the Bupa Medical Visa Services centres (or a distance) you can attend, and the name, email address and mobile number we should alert. Our system checks publicly available Bupa Medical Visa Services appointment availability regularly, generally every minute. When a slot that matches your watch opens, we send you an alert by SMS and email with the centre, date and time.

  • Each watch includes up to 3 alerts, sent at least 3 hours apart. After the third alert, the watch is complete and we stop checking for it.
  • We do not book appointments for you, and we never ask for your HAP ID letter, passport or other applicant details. You book any appointment yourself, directly with Bupa.
  • When you book with Bupa, Bupa's own terms, policies and any fees for changing or cancelling an appointment apply. You are responsible for the booking, attending the appointment and bringing whatever Bupa requires.

We cannot guarantee that a slot will open, that an alert will reach you in time, that a slot will still be available when you try to book it, or that a slot will be at a time or centre you prefer. Availability is controlled entirely by Bupa, and SMS and email delivery depend on third-party networks.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are setting up a watch for a child or another person, you must be their parent, guardian or otherwise authorised to act for them. Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.

You must give us a mobile number and email address that you are allowed to use and that can receive our alerts. Keep them up to date.

4. Price and payment

The service costs a single, one-time fee of $60 (AUD, including GST where applicable) per watch. It is not a subscription.

  • You pay the fee upfront, through our payment provider Stripe, when you create a watch. Your watch starts once payment is confirmed.
  • The fee covers monitoring Bupa Medical Visa Services availability for your watch and sending up to 3 alerts. It does not include any fee Bupa charges for your medical examination.

We may change our price for future watches. A price change never affects a watch you have already paid for.

5. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel a watch from your dashboard at any time. Cancelling stops any further alerts for that watch.

If you cancel a paid watch before we have sent you any alert, we refund the fee in full to the card you paid with. Once we have sent you at least one alert, the fee is not refunded, including if you don't book a slot we alert you to or you change your mind, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law. If you are charged more than once for the same watch, we refund the duplicate payment.

If something has gone wrong with your watch or your alerts, contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you to put it right.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are allowed to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having the service supplied again.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • provide false information, or another person's mobile number or email address without their permission;
  • use alerts to book, resell, transfer or hold appointments you don't intend to attend;
  • interfere with, scrape or overload the service, or try to access other users' data; or
  • use the service for anything unlawful.

We may refuse, pause or cancel a watch, or suspend an account, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

8. Limitation of liability

Subject to section 6, and to the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for appointment availability, Bupa's systems or decisions, slots taken before you book them, delayed or undelivered SMS or email, missed or rescheduled appointments, visa processing delays or visa outcomes;
  • we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including lost travel, accommodation or employment opportunities; and
  • our total liability to you in connection with a watch is limited to the fee you paid us for that watch.

9. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties, including Bupa's publicly available booking information, Stripe for payments, our SMS and email delivery providers and Google for optional sign-in. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using BupaBooker at any time and delete your account from your settings page. Deleting your account stops any further alerts. We may close accounts that have breached these Terms. If we stop offering the service, we will tell you by email and deal with any active watch in line with the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email. Changes do not apply to a watch you have already paid for.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts that can hear appeals from them.
