Everything you need to know about how our slot alerts work
How does BupaBooker work?
You create a watch: your postcode and state, the Bupa Medical Visa Services centres you can get to (or a radius). We check Bupa Medical Visa Services availability every minute, 24/7. When a matching slot opens, we text and email you the centre, date and time so you can book it yourself on the Bupa site straight away.
How much does it cost, and when am I charged?
$60 (AUD), one-time, paid upfront when you create your watch. There's no subscription. If you cancel before we send your first alert, you get a full refund.
How many alerts do I get?
Up to 3 alerts per watch. After the third alert, the watch is complete.
Why are alerts at least 3 hours apart?
Cancellations often come in bursts. Spacing alerts at least 3 hours apart means one busy afternoon can't use up all 3, so you get more separate chances to grab a slot.
Do you book the appointment for me?
No. We never book on your behalf. Each alert tells you the centre, date and time, and you book it yourself on the Bupa site. Slots go quickly, so act on an alert as soon as you can.
Why SMS and email?
Open slots can disappear within minutes. A text reaches you fast, even away from your inbox, and the email gives you the same details to refer back to.
Do you need my HAP ID letter or passport?
No. We only need your name, email, mobile number, postcode and state, and the centres you can attend. You enter your HAP ID and other details directly with Bupa when you book.
Do you guarantee an appointment?
No. We can only alert you to slots Bupa releases, and a slot may be taken by someone else before you book it. In busy areas, picking more centres or a larger radius improves your chances.
Are you affiliated with Bupa?
No. BupaBooker is an independent service and is not affiliated with Bupa or the Department of Home Affairs.
How do I cancel a watch?
Cancel it from your dashboard at any time, which stops any further alerts. If we haven't sent you an alert yet, you get a full refund. Once you've received an alert, the fee isn't refunded, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
I'm not getting your emails. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder, then add [email protected] to your contacts and mark our emails "Not spam". Alerts also go to your mobile by SMS, so you won't miss a slot.
